If you own a Nitrado server, you can dive into the breathtaking world of game servers. Whether it’s Minecraft, ARK, DayZ or Valheim, you’ll find it here. But what if you rent a Minecraft server and want to play Valheim with your friends a few weeks later? This is where our game switching feature comes into play.

One of the unique features that a Nitrado game server offers is the ability to have multiple games on your server. With Nitrado’s game switching feature, you can have up to 5 games installed on your server at the same time. However, only one game can be active. You can switch between games at will, without fear of data loss. How to do that, you will learn in this guide.

Switching between Games – How to

Although only one game can be active at a time, this makes for a convenient tool. With a Nitrado Gameserver, you are not tied to just one game. You have access to over 100 games for PC and an expanding library of console games. Lets take a look at this feature and how to use it with your service.

1. 1. We will start by navigating to the webinterface of a gameserver. On the left-hand side, you will notice the “Switch Game” option.
   2. Click on “Switch Game” and it will bring you to a new page.

1. 1. On this page is where we add, remove, and change games on your server. It is important to know what you are doing on this page, and what each button does.
      • Pressing the reinstall button will do exactly that. It will perform a reinstallation of the game on your server, essentially a “Clean Wipe”. This will cause all saved progress to be lost. Only press this button if a local backup of your save is made, or if you don’t mind losing progress.
      • Uninstalling a game will remove the game and all of the files from the server. This information is vital to remember when using this option.
      • When pressing “Install”, the server will install the selected game to your server from our online game cloud. Upon installation, the game will now switch to be the active game on the server.
   2. You can switch games by pressing the “Change” button. This button will show where the “Reinstall” button was after a game has been installed.
