    How do I use commands?

    From a predetermined way, the console is not active in Half-Life 2. So it’s necessary to activate the console first.

    • Right click on Half-Life 2 on Steam and select “Properties”.
    • Now click on “General”
    • Now type “-console” on the line (without “) and confirm with ” Ok ” inside the “Launch Options”

    If the game starts, The console will open automatically and you will be able to use commands.

    In order to use more elevated commands you need to log in with your Rcon password.

    To do this and after connecting to your server you need to type in the following command to log in with Rcon.

    rcon_password “your password”

    After doing this you could type “rcon status” and the server should give you a list with ip, players and current players connected.

    You can now manage your server with rcon command.
