    Open the console

    You must set yourself as an admin to use any admin commands.

    To set yourself as an admin, please follow the guide here: Player control for Valheim.

    Before you can use commands, the game’s console must first be activated via the game’s Properties in Steam:

    1. Open Steam
    2. Navigate to your Library
    3. Right-click Valheim
    4. Select Properties
    5. In the General tab, look for Launch Options
    6. Type -console
    7. Exit the Properties window

    When you next launch the game, press the F5 key to open the console. Once it opens, type in devcommands and press Enter.

    You will receive a warning if the command was entered correctly.

    Since you are already authenticated as an admin, you can use any of the commands listed below:

    Console Commands

    Command Description
    kick [name/ip/userID] Kick the user. Case sensitive
    ban [name/ip/userID] Ban the user. Case sensitive
    unban [ip/userID] Unban the user. Case sensitive
    banned Shows a list of banned users.
    ping Send a ping to the server to get your latency.
    lodbias [number] Set distance lod bias. If empty, shows actual lodbias. Default is 1.5
    info Print system info.
    dpsdebug Toggle DPS debug print.
