DUCKSIDE Admin Guide
Managing your DUCKSIDE server can be too challenging without admin permissions, as you’d be only using the webinterface. Fortunately, you can easily become an administrator and use a specialized panel in-game to ban players, spawn items, edit settings, and so much more. In this guide, we’ll be showing you how to become an admin on your own DUCKSIDE server and breakdown the admin panel.
How to Become Admin on a DUCKSIDE Server
With 5 easy steps, you can quickly become an admin on a DUCKSIDE server at Nitrado.
Follow the steps below to begin the process!
- Head towards your Nitrado webinterface, then stop the server.
- Continue to click “General” under “Settings”, near the left of your screen.
- Afterward, use SteamID I/O to find your SteamID64 for the account.
- Copy and paste the values into the “Admin ID” field on your webinterface.
- Make sure to save changes and start up the server!
Becoming Admin on DUCKSIDE Console Server
With the release of DUCKSIDE on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, there is a slight difference when becoming an admin on your server. The process is the same as above, but you need to use the Epic Online Services (EOS) ID instead of the SteamID64. This can be found by logging into your Epic Games Account, and navigating to the Account Settings > Connections area. You must have your Xbox or PlayStation account connected, otherwise this will not work. Once found, follow the steps above and replace SteamID65 with your EOS ID.
DUCKSIDE Admin Panel
After becoming an admin in your DUCKSIDE server, you’ll be granted access to the admin panel. While in-game, press F10 on your keyboard to open the menu. There are several options and categories to check out, ranging from server settings to gameplay mechanics. The following sections will guide you through each category to help you better understand the admin panel.
To open the admin panel on consoles:
- Xbox: Press LT + RT + X + A
- PlayStation: Press L2 + R2 + Square + Cross

Server Options
The best way to quickly change the server password, set maximum number of players, or other various general settings is to use the server options. This is the first category on your admin panel, providing you with lots of features. For example, you can teleport to a specific marker or enable / disable PVE. - Maximum players per squad
- Reserved admin player slots
- Toggle PVE

Player Options
In cases where you need to manage users in your DUCKSIDE server, use the players category in the admin panel. This is where you can assign admin roles, takeaway admin roles, ban and unban people. It’s essentially meant to be used for moderation purposes, along with allowing trusted users to become an admin. Let’s summarize what you can do with the players category:
- Assign admin

Item Options
If you’re wanting to spawn items or change the starter kit for new players, the items category is what you want! In this area, you’ll be able to summon anything from weapons to clothes. Additionally, you can add new items to the starter kit that every player receives upon joining the DUCKSIDE server. This comes in handy when you’re hosting events or wanting to change up player progression. Check out the following actions you can do in this category:

Note: Do not remove the Starter Backpack, as that will disable the player’s inventory.
Building Options
There can be tons of buildings on your DUCKSIDE server that need to be removed, for whatever reason you may want. The buildings category in the admin panel will help you do that. Its main purpose is to view and remove base idols so the building will begin decaying. This comes in handy when you want to remove a banned player’s base or something similar.

Message Options
If you want to host an event, send announcements, or anything else – consider using the messages category in the admin panel. This area provides you the ability to create a Message Of The Day (MOTD) and send unique messages at a specific interval. This can be used to advertise your Discord community, donations, rules, or anything else. The MOTD is a one-time message that will appear for everyone, best used for single / time sensitive announcements.

Gameplay Options
There are many situations where the gameplay of your DUCKSIDE server needs to be customized. Fortunately, you have the gameplay category to accomplish this task. It provides you with various settings for NPCs, recycler speed, base decay speed, and so much more. You’re even able to change the respawn time of resources and loot boxes.
