Enabling an Event on Your ARK: Survival Evolved Server

The journey you take in ARK: SE can hold many prehistoric paths as you play with your friends, both disasters and successes, as you venture into the mysterious caverns and around bubbling volcanos. During the glorious adventures you and your companions share, you can evolve the world around you with themed events ready to get your server in the spirit of the holidays with players joining to seek exclusive rewards!

ARK events implement new types of dinosaurs, items, skins, and loot bringing a new edge with fun collectibles to your server and it’s only a few steps to enable these events on your server. In this tutorial, we will learn about the different ARK server events and how these can be added to spice up your dinosaur exploration!

How to Enable Events on your ARK:SE Server

• Begin on your ARK server panel.
• To the left locate and click on the “General” option to edit your server settings.
  

• While under “Base Settings” near the top of your ARK server settings, locate the “Active Event” option.
• Use the dropdown menu here to select the event.
  

   

• Events can only be enabled if they’re currently active for ARK: Survival Evolved.
• Press “Save Changes” and then restart your ARK server to load that event in your server.

ARK: Survival Evolved Events

Your server supports all of the events released for ARK and there are quite a few of them, often active on major holidays or in celebration of a new season or year. These events offer new stashes of loot, unique creatures, exclusive skins, multipliers for your server, and more! Here is a list of the different yearly events, around when they’ll be active, and what you can expect when you enable them on your server!

ARK: Happy New Year!	This event first began on January 1st, 2021 and has since been in the game, offering ARK players extremely rare loot and collections of skins and rare Chibis from past events that are not currently available. Loot is sure to be everywhere! Occurs January 1st.
ARK: Love Evolved	Giving players love since February 2020, this Valentine’s event has brought fellow ARK players closer together with themed dinosaur, cute skins, and the sweetest Chibi pets! Occurs Around the 2nd Week of February.
ARK: Eggcellent Adventure	Filling baskets everywhere with candy, bunny eggs, and all the exclusive goodies, these are just part of what awaits this hopping journey down the ARK bunny trail. This Easter event has been an “eggcellent” part of every ARK adventurer’s travels ever since April of 2016! Occurs Around the 2nd and 3rd Week of April.
ARK: Summer Bash	The party is jumping and has been crazy since July of 2019! Get ready to throw on those shades with a giant assortment of summer skins, emotes, and some must-have Chibis prepared to join you in ARK! Occurs Around the 1st and 2nd Week of July.
ARK: Fear Evolved	As the first event to ever occur in November of 2015 and a spine-tingling staple to ARK, this yearly Halloween event brings ghostly new creatures, haunting emotes, chilling skins, and the spookiest Chibis. Occurs Around the 4th Week of October.
ARK: Turkey Trial	Gobble gobble in the newest skins, items, chibis and prepare to fight a dangerous foe such as a SUPER TURKEY! The second event to occur when ARK released, this event has become a yearly part of many ARK server owners’ Thanksgiving traditions. Occurs Around the 4th Week of November.
ARK: Winter Wonderland	It’s a whiteout! Christmas arrives in the Winter Wonderland event, bringing joy and cheer to all. Santa brings new dinos, rigid skins, fun toys, emotes, and Chibis to the icy lands. This is one of the longest-running yearly events in ARK. Occurs Around the 2nd and 3rd Week of December.

While you’re able to set your server to any event, events can only be run when they’re active for ARK and so for example with the ARK Easter Event, the Easter rewards, creatures, and skins are only available when that event is live. The best part with events on your server is that you do not need to perform any actions on your ARK game client to play in the event and any players that join your server will have access to that event too.

Can’t Enable an ARK Event?

Our servers will always support the latest updates and events! If for any reason a particular event is not working for you, ensure that ARK: SE server event is set, save, and then restart your server. This will ensure the event loads properly.
