How to Change Your RedM Server Name

How to Change Your RedM Server Name

To make your private RedM game server world truly stand out, you’ll need a name that’s not only unique but also easy for your community to find and remember. A well-chosen server name is essential – it helps players identify your world and gives them a clear sense of what to expect when they join.

Changing or setting up your server’s name is simple through the Nitrado web interface. By doing so, you ensure that your server reflects the character of your RedM experience, making it easier for players to locate and immerse themselves in your adventure.

Creating and Changing Your Server Name

    1. Open your server’s web interface on the Nitrado website and stop your server. Wait until the server status shows it is fully stopped.
    2.

    3. On the left-hand menu of your Nitrado web interface, navigate to Settings > General.

    7. Click the Save Changes button below.
    8.

    9. Now you just need to start your server again, and the new name will be set.

Once your server is fully running again, your new name will appear in the RedM server list, and your players will be able to find and join your world with ease!

    Troubleshooting and Tips

If your new server name isn’t showing up immediately, or if you run into any small issues, these tips should get you back on track.

    • The Change Isn’t Showing? Make sure you follow all three critical steps: Stop the server, Save the settings, and fully Restart the server. A complete restart is necessary for the new name to take effect.
    •

    • Players Can’t See the New Name: Ask your players to refresh their server list in the RedM client. Sometimes the client caches the old list, and a simple refresh (or restarting their RedM client) will pull the updated name.
    •

    • Choose a Clear Name: While you can get creative, pick a name that your friends and community can easily recognize and type. This makes finding your server in the list much easier!

Saddle Up for the Next Adventure

Congratulations! You’ve now customized your RedM server with a unique and memorable name, making it stand out in the Wild West. But this is just the beginning—now that your server is properly configured, you can focus on growing your community, customizing gameplay, and creating a welcoming space for players to explore. Whether you’re planning to host events, add custom mods, or fine-tune server settings, the possibilities are endless. Take the time to interact with your players and gather feedback to ensure a great experience. With your new server name in place, you’re ready to make your mark in the RedM universe.
