    How To Manage Players on ARK: Survival Evolved Servers

    ARK Player Management on your server – Introduction

    As you move through the world of ARK, you’ll encounter breathtaking creatures, terrifying caves, and sandy beaches. To enhance such an amazing journey, bringing friends and fellow ARK players along to enjoy the fun means shared resources, tames, and buildings for everyone. When a server is open to more players, what if one or more of these players misbehaves or violates server rules? For this, you have the possibility to manage players on ARK servers, so you can ensure order.

    How to Manage Players on ARK servers - playing ARK

    Player management offers the tools you need to perform any action from banning to giving admin to a player. When it comes to managing players on your server, there are ban lists and whitelists, the possibility to make a player an admin, to kick, and much more. You can manage players in-game and out-of-game on your ARK server and we’ll show you how!

    Getting Started with Managing Players on ARK Servers

    You may need admin rights for some commands. You can learn to get admin rights and how to find STEAM64IDs of players in this guide.

    ARK Player Management Commands

    Player management in the game is mostly performed through admin commands. To enable and use admin commands, follow this article. Below, you will find a few useful commands that you can use for player management on your ARK: SE server:

    • cheat banplayer <steam64 ID> – Bans the specified player off of your ARK server.
    • cheat allowplayertojoinnocheck <steam64 ID> – Adds the specific player to a whitelist on your server.
    • cheat disallowplayertojoinnocheck <steam64 ID> – Removes a player off of your ARK server whitelist.
    • cheat broadcast <message> – Broadcasts a message to all of your players on the server.

    ARK Player Management Outside of the Game

    There is also the possibility to manage players when you are not on your server. If you are using a Nitrado server, you manage the players using lists in the Nitrado web interface.

    How to Use Lists to Manage ARK Players

    The player control shows the players currently connected to the server. The management window will also show all players in special lists (adminlist, whitelist, ban list, etc.). Using this window, we’ll show you how to manage your players:

    1. Head to your ARK server webinterface.
    2. Next, on the left-side under “Tools“, select “Player Control“. You can manage your ARK server players at this location.

    3. To modify a player, click “Add Player” or select a player to edit from the list.
      • When you select “Add Player” you will need to add the SteamID-64 and the list type you want the player to join. We mentioned an article earlier were you can learn how to find this ID.
    4. Finally, you will have added that player to the selected list successfully.

    How to Remove a Player from a List?

    1. Go to your ARK game server webinterface.
    2. Then, on the left under “Tools“, click “Player Control“.
    3. Lastly, choose a player from that list to remove them.

    NOTE: To find offline and banned players on the list you will need to uncheck the “Online” option.
