ARK supports a powerful feature called crossplay that allows players on different devices to play together on the same server. Before playing together using crossplay, it’s important to know what platforms support ARK crossplay so that you and your friends will have the correct devices to play on and adventure together. Follow us along this journey towards understanding ARK crossplay and what platforms support it so that you can have the best experience with your friends and family on your own ARK server!

Is ARK Crossplay/Cross-Platform?

ARK server crossplay can vary depending on the type of server and platform you’re playing on. Each platform ARK is available on, be it PC, Xbox, Playstation, or Mobile, includes varying levels of crossplay support. We will explore each type of ARK crossplay and their supported platforms to get you on the path towards the correct ARK server for you and your friends!

ARK Crossplay on ARK PC Servers

ARK: Survival Evolved PC servers support ARK crossplay only for both the Steam and Epic Games launcher platforms. To play on an ARK PC server, you’ll need to own ARK: Survival Evolved on either Steam, the Epic Games launcher store, or on Google Stadia, and then load and join your ARK server.

This crossplay support found on ARK PC servers is optional, allowing you to disable Epic Games launcher support in favor of being able to exclusively use the Steam version of ARK to support installing ARK mods. You can enable and disable ARK crossplay on your server in seconds and we will show you how to!

How to Change ARK Crossplay on Servers

1. 1. Go on your ARK server panel and under “SETTINGS”, click “General”.
   2. Under your “Base settings”, find the “Allowed platforms” option.

1. Use the dropdown to change between allowing players on Steam only, on Epic Games Launcher & Steam, on only Epic Games Launcher, or on Steam & Google Stadia. *Select “Allow only Steam players” to allow for ARK server mods to work.
2. Once changes are made, press “Save changes” and then restart your ARK server to enable that selected crossplay option!

Android & IOS ARK Crossplay

ARK Mobile servers are a great option for dinosaur gamers on the go, supporting crossplay on both ARK for IOS and Android devices. In seconds, no matter where you are in the world, as long as you have mobile service you and your crew can connect to your ARK Mobile game server and explore the unique lands of ARK.

Xbox & Windows 10 ARK Cross-Platform

For the Xbox console gamers, an ARK Xbox server offers the ability to have cross-platform play between the Xbox One and Windows 10 versions of ARK: Survival Evolved. Included in the Xbox Game Pass you can get ARK and with you, your friends, and a server, enjoy the perfect game time together whether you’re on an Xbox or on a Windows 10 PC using the Xbox app! When getting your own Xbox One ARK server, you can use the Nitrado Microsoft App on your Xbox or Windows 10 PC to start a server and play together!

Does PlayStation have ARK Crossplay?

At the moment, neither the Playstation 4 nor Playstation 5 versions of ARK: Survival Evolved include support for crossplay. When selecting a Playstation 4 ARK server at checkout, this server will only work on the PS4 console.

Selecting Your Server Platform with Nitrado

When you’re starting an ARK server with Nitrado, you can change the platform you’re creating that server for to ensure that is supported for you and everyone you’re playing with!

1. 1. Go to the ARK game server order page.
   2. On each ARK: Survival Evolved server plan, under “Platform” you can change the platform of the server between PC, Xbox One, Playstation 4, and Mobile.

1. Once the platform is selected, press “Choose Package” and continue through the Nitrado game server order process.
