    The Function of Keystones

Keystones, also known as Land Claim Blocks (LCB), are special blocks used to claim and protect a chunk of land. They create an invisible protection zone with a default area of 49 square blocks (7×7 blocks). This zone provides a durability multiplier to any blocks within the area, whether natural or player-made, depending on the server settings. The owner of the LCB can remove blocks in the area more quickly, while other players will find it much harder to break them down. By default, durability is increased by 32x, meaning that instead of a block taking 10 seconds to break, it would take 320 seconds.

Additionally, Keystones prevent other players from placing blocks or objects inside the claimed zone. The decay time of a keystone can be configured so that if a player is offline for a certain period, their block will no longer protect the area, leaving it open for anyone else to claim.

Keystones are only functional in Survival mode.

    Configuring the Keystones

    • Claim Size: The size in blocks that is protected by the LCB.
    • Claim Dead Zone: The minimum number of blocks that must separate LCBs, unless you are friends with the other player.
    • Claim Expiry Time: The number of days a player can be offline before their claims expire and are no longer protected.
    • Claim Decay Mode: Controls how land claims decay when players are offline. All claims have full protection for the first 24 hours.
      • 0 = Linear: Decay happens at a steady rate.
      • 1 = Exponential: Decay speeds up over time.
      • 2 = Full Protection: Full protection until the claim expires.
    • Claim Online Durability Modifier: How much block hardness is increased in the protected area when the player is online. A value of 0 means infinite durability (no damage can be taken). The default is 32x.
    • Claim Offline Modifier: How much block hardness is increased in the protected area when the player is offline. A value of 0 means infinite durability (no damage can be taken). The default is 32x.
