    No Connection Possible

    If you cannot connect to your cloud server, the following procedures can already help.

    First steps

    First, it is important if your server is a Linux or Windows server. Depending on this, the troubleshooting will be done accordingly.

    • Check your internet connection

    If you were able to access this page, you should have an active internet connection and accordingly this point should be done.

    • Check the Internet connection of the server

    A PING to the IP address is sufficient to check this.

    • Check your firewall rules and make sure that the IP address as well as port 21 are enabled or not blocked.
    • If it is a Windows server, port 3389 must be enabled.
    • Use another program if necessary

    To connect from a Windows PC to a Linux server, it is necessary to install an additional program. The best known program is PuTTY.

    To connect to a Windows server, it is necessary that this is done via RDP. This is already preinstalled on Windows.

    Rescue mode

    If you still can’t connect, your server may not have installed or started correctly. For this we have included a rescue mode in the system.

    If the points mentioned above did not help, or you are unsure about the rescue mode, you can also contact our support. However, for security reasons, Nitrado’s support can only access your server to a very limited extent and can only give you a few tips. Usually a new installation is the easier way.
