    Where to Find User Administration Options?

    The file where administrators or moderators can be registered is called serveradmin.xml and can be found via the file browser. This file contains the command levels, as well as the players and their defined permission levels.

    How to Add Admins

    Note that the comment characters (<!-- and -->) must be removed around the entries. These mark the entry as a comment, so it is not active in the game.

    This section contains important information to correctly read the file. Changes are not necessary here.

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <adminTools>

    In this section, you can create administrators and moderators for the server. It is important that the Steam64ID is entered correctly. You can find your Steam64ID on steamid.co, steamidconverter.com, or steamid.io.

    The permission level indicates the rights the registered Steam ID has. Admins have the most rights, with levels ranging from 0 to 1000. Registered players always have their own level and number. For example, an admin can execute all commands, while a moderator can only use commands with a permission level of 1.

        <admins>
          <user steamID="STEAM64ID" name="Hint on who this user is" permission_level="0" />
          Xbox user IDs can be found in the log files. Example line in the log: "2022-07-29T15:00:59 80.788 INF
           RequestToEnterGame: EOS_000453769234865cn983457nc983/Xbox_Name"
          <user platform="EOS" userid="000453769234865cn983457nc983" name="Xbox_Name" permission_level="0" />
        </admins>
        <moderators>
          Moderators can be added in the same way as described above.
          <moderator steamID="STEAM64ID" permission_level="1" />
        </moderators>

    This part allows you to assign permission levels to commands, giving users different rights. To add a command, simply add a new line with <permission cmd="command" permission_level="permlevel" />. The command and permission level can be adjusted as needed.

        <permissions>
          <permission cmd="dm" permission_level="0" />
          <permission cmd="kick" permission_level="1" />
          <permission cmd="ban" permission_level="1" />
        </permissions>

    7 Days to Die - Admin Settings

    Here you can activate the Whitelist and Blacklist. If there are no entries in the corresponding sections, or if they are commented out, this option is not active. The Whitelist allows you to define the permission level, while the Blacklist is essentially your ban list and can be configured to run on specific dates.

        <whitelist>
          <!-- <whitelisted steamID="STEAM64ID" permission_level="" /> -->
        </whitelist>
        <blacklist>
          <!-- <blacklisted steamID="STEAM64ID" unbandate="3/20/2114 9:32:04 PM" /> -->
        </blacklist>

    </adminTools>
