The Complete Map & Expanded Progression

Embervale reaches its final form with the arrival of Cinder’s Cradle, a northern frontier featuring lava fields beneath floating islands. With increased world border expansions and two new Hollow Halls, character progression also gets higher level caps and a fully voiced narrative.

• New Biome (Cinder’s Cradle): Dual-layered northern territory packed with 14 new enemy types and floating ruins.
• Map Expansion: Two new Hollow Halls opened in Albaneve Summits and Veilwater Basin, plus expanded borders across existing biomes.
• Level 50 Cap: Max player level raised to 50, with weapon and armor upgrades climbing to level 55.
• Flame Altars & Shroud Clearing: Flame level upgrades expand altar limits to 16 and allow players to actively push back the Shroud.
• Full Voice-Over: Major survivors and all collectible lore notes are now narrated in English, German, and Mandarin.

Sparkworks & Base Building

Constructing settlements takes a leap forward with Sparkworks, an integrated logic system. Combined with other building tools and overhauled rendering, designing and viewing massive creations is cleaner than ever before.

• Sparkworks Logic Engine: Connect switches, traps, and enemy spawners to create custom dungeons, puzzles, and arenas.
• Airborne Architect Skill: Unlocks a free-flying building mode that removes the need for temporary scaffolding.
• “Brick Renderer”: Upgraded distant voxel rendering keeps player bases and faraway terrain sharp rather than blurry or simplified.
• Base Upgrades: In-place chest upgrades, custom naming for containers and map markers, and increased altar limits.

Combat Overhaul & Magic

Combat has been rebalanced with a major spotlight on spellcasting. Mages receive new tools, the ability to summon allies, and other casting options. Meanwhile, there’s smarter enemy AI and non-instant boss health resets, which makes group encounters more forgiving and dynamic.

• 9 New Spells & Necromancy: Adds new crowd control, area-of-effect spells, and minion-summoning mechanics.
• Eternal Spells & Arrows: All spells now have infinite late-game variants, and both eternal spells and arrows can be upgraded at crafting stations.
• Wand Improvements: Adds heavy attacks, unlockable evasive aerial moves, and a free-aim toggle.
• Dynamic Boss Recovery: Bosses now regenerate health gradually after a party wipe rather than resetting to 100% instantly.

Enshrouded Server & Performance Upgrades

Running an Embervale world on your Nitrado server is smoother and easier to manage. Version 1.0 adds smart encounter scaling tailored to party size, better admin controls, and major network optimizations under the hood.

• Automatic Enemy Scaling: A new server setting dynamically adjusts enemy spawn counts based only on active players in the immediate vicinity.
• Persistent Admin Permissions: Set default roles via passwords and promote/demote players in-game with roles remembered across sessions.
• Network & Tick Rate Optimizations: Reduced client-server memory usage, improved CPU performance, and gliders that fly consistently regardless of server load.
• Streamlined Save Architecture: Faster, smaller save-file format with automated backups for legacy Early Access worlds.
