Rust Devblog 192 – Mad scientists improvements and the Douglas Fir!

Hello Survivors! This week we have an update for Rust! It is a small and comp[act update, however, it offers some insight into what the developers have been doing. Some attention to the Mad Scientists! The scientists communicate, switch weapons based on distance, take cover,  hide when they reload, run away from explosives, and more. Some work on new trees has begun as well. They are looking great, here is a screenshot of the Douglas Firs!

Changes
  • Nearby players melee weapon swings are now audible
  • Shelves correctly destroyed if construction below no longer exists
  • Tool cupboard correctly destroyed if construction below no longer exists
  • Tool cupboard can no longer be fully submerged inside world layer (rocks)
  • Refinery ladder fix (Hapis)
  • Site A cave no longer building blocked (Hapis)
