New Gameplay, Equipment, and Enemies
Shape Your Journey
When you first begin the new update, you can choose from 3 difficulty levels that best suit your playstyle. You’ll find the Relaxed version, for those who wish to focus on exploration and construction rather than epic battles. The Standard version is basically the gameplay style you’ve encountered so far within the world of V Rising. Finally, the Brutal version features much more powerful enemies scattered throughout the map.
New Endgame Zone – Ruins of Mortium
Discover this new area dedicated to Dracula and his legion, where you’ll encounter multiple enemies and new dynamic events in which you can participate to obtain exclusive materials. This daunting area is sure to be challenging, even for the strongest of vampires. Will you be able to stop the attacks of Dracula’s Legion and defeat them?
Enemies
New enemies can now be encountered, mainly from the endgame zone of the game and belonging to Dracula’s Legion. At the helm of the legion is none other than Dracula himself, empowered and determined to eliminate anyone who stands in his way. Alongside him are the fierce Draculins, forming part of his court. Even the likes of Simon Belmont from Castlevania joins as an enemy to be vanquished. Do you have the strength to defeat the Belmont family heir?
World Areas
Since its early access launch, the V Rising map has featured areas of interest with little inside them – a couple of structures and mobs were all you’d find. With the official release, these areas are now renewed and part of Dracula’s legion. Delve into the depths of this area, explore Dracula’s castle, and collect all the special materials you’ll need to reach the highest level.
Caravans are a new and refreshing addition to the game’s dynamics. Humans have decided to venture out for deliveries, giving you the opportunity not only to quench your thirst for blood but also to obtain significant loot in the process. Ambush the caravans and discover the valuable treasures they transport.
Changes in Magic
From now on, you won’t have to defeat specific bosses to acquire certain abilities. Instead, each time you defeat a boss, they’ll drop a “shard” that allows you to choose the ability you want to unlock. This enables you to create a much more comfortable and personalized strategy from early stages of the game. With ultimate abilities, you can now choose one of four options unlocked upon finishing the first tier. Additionally, a new station named the “Altar of Stygian Awakening” has been added, allowing you to activate certain passives that give you advantages in combat. This opens up a range of possibilities for new attack and defense combinations. Which one are you going to try first?
New Weapons and Armor
The introduction of two new weapons expands the options for facing the dangers within this dark and shadowy world. The Bow will help you with ranged attacks, keeping you safe from melee blows, while the Whip adds more thrust and elegance to your attacks.
You can now also upgrade your weapons and make them much more powerful. By using legendary shards, you can create a whole new arsenal of weapons with unique styles and actions. Ancestral weapons have also received improvements. You can now upgrade them in the Ancestral Forge, allowing them to accompany you throughout your journey, with up to three upgrades per weapon to improve their level. Last but not least, you now have a new tier 4 armor providing better protection against the new enemies you’ll face. Gear yourself and go to explore and conquer!
Arachnid Transformation
You now have a new transformation form: Spider. This allows you to evade dangers by creating small burrows underground to hide from enemies and sunlight alike. Try this new experience and get the most of it!
Construction and Cosmetics
Relocate Your Castle and More
You can now move your castle to a new location with the press of a button! Simply create a basic structure in the new location, and all your belongings will automatically move and appear in the new castle in the order you placed them. Additionally, you’ll encounter a new and improved storage and forge system to facilitate the process of crafting items. If all these improvements seem insufficient, get ready to find new decorations and, most notably, a music player in pure vampiric style to harmonize your castle. Continuing with decoration and customization, you can now change the colors of your armor, taking elegance to the next level. Switch and try all of your favorite combinations!
Additional Content
Finally, Gamepad Support has arrived, giving PC players more space for quick access to some abilities. A new achievement system has been integrated, allowing you to track your progress and set new challenges for yourself. Lastly, more musical pieces have been added to the game’s soundtrack, enhancing the atmosphere of the new Ruins of Mortium zone and for the castlevania fand there are some new remixes of the old soundtrack.
Legacy of Castlevania – Premium Pack
Alongside all these changes and improvements, we find the release of the paid cosmetic DLC, Legacy of Castlevania. In it, you’ll find thematic cosmetic enhancements related to the castle, furniture, hairstyles, and a skin to resemble the famous Alucard. Additionally, there are 3 variants of shape changes: the wolf form variant, Soul of the Wolf; the human form variant, Glamour of Maria Renard; and finally, the frog form variant, Guise of The Flea Man. Now all of this and more Castlevania cosmetics are accessible for you to create the atmosphere of the ol game.
