Secrets of Gloomrot is an update arriving to V Rising in May, filled to the brim with ambition, madness, and exciting new features for all players alike to enjoy. Bringing out the ultimate vampire explorations, there will be updates to existing biomes alongside the introduction of the newest biome, Gloomrot. The devastating biome of Gloomrot is, as Stunlock Studios states, “a place of mad evolution and poisoned valleys north of the great expanse of Dunley, between The Silverlight Highlands and The Cursed Forest.”

Enter Gloomrot – New Biome on the V Rising Map

Entering Gloomrot, you’ll discover a land that is filthy, brilliant, and mad. What does that mean? As you and your friends begin to travel into this gloomy land, you’ll explore polluted valleys and lightning-scorched highlands to face horrors that are uncontrollable and unimaginable mutations from experiments gone wrong. Not to mention, the dangerous mechanical abilities born from their creation. By sucking the blood of these insane creatures, you can gain their knowledge and head toward a new age of technology!

Main Features

• Nearly the same size as Dunley Farmlands.
• Split into two sections, Gloomrot South and North.
• Each area will provide new waves of challenges, technologies, and enemies.
• Large areas ensure plenty of room for players to stretch out and create multi-floor castles.

Taller Castles Reaching New Heights in the V Rising Update

In the new age of Vardoran, building has changed to ensure you can build taller and better than ever before. Coming in the V Rising update, you will be able to use tools to build vertically with staircases. With staircases, you and your friends will be able to build up to three stories high, creating everything from skyscraper castles to outdoor alters. That’s in addition to the powerful protections and teleportation possibilities you will be able to try in the update!

Sorcerous Safety Features to Protect Your Castle

Alongside higher castles, protections and teleportation are also being added to help aid in making the best vampiric castle possible. Utilizing a new railing build option, you’ll be able to prevent your fellow vampires from falling over the edges of your castle. These rails will also prevent attacks and the throwing of spears and weapons toward the castle. With the new building blocks, also comes the assistance of new teleporters. Using a teleporter, you’ll easily be able to go from one part of the castle to another, creating magical passageways for instant travel. Combing these features, you’ll ensure a secure and mighty castle in the lands of vampires!

Aesthetic Madness is Arriving to V Rising

Building and aesthetics are a large part of the V Rising update – Secrets of Gloomrot. Another way these aesthetics are improving is through an updated land-claiming system called Territories. Through Territories, players can claim an entire open area, providing plenty of space to build massive sweeping gardens, outdoor buildings, and more. In addition, many quality-of-life improvements are being performed to condense the building menu, edit color and style options of buildings, set drapes to windows, and that’s only the start. With so many diverse options coming, we’re extremely excited to start decking out our vampire castle in full medieval style!
