How is a world of Dune: Awakening structured?

Our offering for Dune: Awakening is a customizable Hagga Basin server. These servers reside within a larger world, sharing social hubs and the Deep Desert with other servers. This creates a sense of community in Hagga Basin, offering persistent, freeform building and other survival-game mechanics. The game blends this with MMO-style large-scale multiplayer, enabling hundreds of players to interact in social hubs and the Deep Desert for activities like socializing, trading, and engaging in conflict.

How do you connect to your server?

Your Dune: Awakening server is part of a shared world. To connect, you must first find your World Name and then search for it in the game. On your server's web interface dashboard, find your World Assignment, as well as a pre-generated server name (which you can still customize if you like). Your World Assignment may take a few moments to appear after a server starts, so please refresh the page if you do not see it. In the Dune in-game server list, make sure you have selected the correct region in the bottom left corner. Switch to the "Private" tab at the top. Search for your World Name. PLEASE NOTE: You CANNOT search for your individual server name. You must search for the World Name. Click on your world in the search results to expand the list. From the expanded list, select your server name to connect.

Which server settings are customizable?

Server owners have full control over various settings through the Nitrado web interface. These include customizing the server name and password, enabling or disabling sandstorms, configuring security zones for PvP or PvE play styles, and managing taxation which affects building shield decay if payments are missed.

Why are there NO server backups for my individual server?

The game's architecture connects multiple Hagga Basin servers (like yours) into a single, shared world. This interconnected design, which allows for persistent shared maps, does not technically support the creation and restoration of isolated backups for any single Hagga Basin server.

Is it possible to use mods or utilize RCON?

Currently, Dune: Awakening offers no mod support or RCON functionality. Consequently, modifying the game beyond the offered settings in the Nitrado panel or using advanced server administration tools is not possible.

Why is game switching NOT supported?

Due to the specialized hosting setup required for Dune: Awakening, game switching to or from this game is NOT technically possible.

Why are there mandatory daily restarts?

Dune: Awakening's architecture requires daily restarts to maintain optimal performance and to coincide with in-game events. For this reason, the development studio has made them mandatory for all game servers.

In which regions is Dune: Awakening offered at Nitrado?

Currently, Dune: Awakening is available in North America West (NA-West), North America East (NA-East), and Europe (EU-West). These initial regions were selected to prioritize a high-quality and reliable experience. Players can readily join any of these three existing regions and begin playing right away. The possibility of adding regions closer to specific locations will be evaluated in the future.

Is it possible to transfer my server to another world?

Yes, you can request to be assigned to a different World by using our World Manager tool in the Webinterface.

Does my server for Dune: Awakening include DDoS protection?
