Frequently asked questions

StarRupture is designed for up to 4 players, so your server is configured to accommodate exactly this limit. This allows for a focused gameplay experience where you and your friends can fully immerse yourselves in the game world together.

StarRupture is currently only available on PC. As of now, there has been no announcement regarding a console release, but this may change in the future based on the game's development.

Mod support has not been confirmed by the developers yet. If it becomes available in the future, it will likely be supported on your server.

The initial setup is performed in-game. Launch Star Rupture, select "Manage Server", and enter your server's IP:Port to set your Admin and Server passwords. Next, choose "New Game", name your session, and click "Start Game". If you encounter a connection error, please wait a few minutes for startup tasks to complete before trying again.

Once a save file exists, the in-game management menu is automatically disabled. To change passwords, you must stop your server and delete the files PlayerPassword.json and DSSettings.txt via the File Browser. Restart the server to set new passwords.

The Early Access version of StarRupture supports up to 4 players. You can explore the open world, gather resources, build complex automation machines, and engage in combat and survival mechanics. However, please note that as with any Early Access title, you may encounter occasional bugs or gameplay issues while the game is being prepared for its 1.0 release.
