Hello Neighbor in 2017
TinyBuild’s “Hello Neighbor” is the alpha-game which got a lot of attention in the last quarter of 2016, to the point, that PewDiePie uploaded his own gameplay at the end of October 2016; he wasn’t able to beat the game.
The neighbor’s name is still a secret, all we know is that he must be hiding something behind the metal pin-locked doors, the security cameras, the bear traps and more. The main objective of the game is to open the “basement door” to reveal the neighbor’s secret.
Trying to open the main door is a challenging strategy-stealth game against the ever-learning AI from the neighbor; he learns from every movement you do. He notices open doors or switched lights, missing items, the paths you are trying to follow and tries to block them all by placing traps, security cameras and even waiting for you at the expected spot. The more you play, the harder it gets.
Since PewDiePie’s gameplay, Hello Neighbor started getting even more attention.
Nowadays, TinyBuild’s team has released a pre-alpha, alpha 1, 2 and 3 of the game. Every version featured a new house, new tools, updated neighbor’s AI and some parts of the story.
Back in December, during an unofficial stream Twitch stream from a fan, the TinyBuild’s twitch channel commented in the chat that they expect to end the game in at least 7 months or more. TinyBuild plans to release around 5 more alpha or beta versions before the game is ready.
We can’t wait to see what the next versions of this game will bring us all. You can try the pre-alpha and alpha 1 for free and/or buy alpha 2, 3 and access to all coming releases in the official Hello Neighbor website.
