ARK FJORDUR DLC – WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

NEW ARK MAP BASED ON THE MODDED MAP FJORDUR

The new Fjordur map is based on the community-made modded map Fjordur which features a large and unique chilly map made up of four different islands, Vardiland, Vannaland, Bolbjord, and Balheimr. Throughout the world, large looming castles, dense forests, and deep caves await expedition as you uncover the secrets of this new ARK map. Each island offers a variety of biomes and enemies to fight as you uncover the different realms including Asgard, Jotunheim, and Vanaheim!

POWERFUL BRAND NEW ARK DLC CREATURES

ANDREWSARCHUS

Andrewsarchus is the first winner of the Community Creature Vote for the Fjordur map. A creature with an appetite, while foraging the Andrewsarchus will move sluggishly. When spotting a player and another danger, however, this foe will attack with deadly repercussions. Taming this creature will unlock even more possibilities, with fast movement, drifting, and the ability to mount a turret so that you can blast away any enemies.
 

DESMODUS

As the second winner of the Community Creature Vote for Fjordur, Desmodus is a bat with an attitude! Absolutely batty, Desmodus prefers to hang in the darkest of places including caves, waiting to attack and devour its prey. Tamable, you can command this flier to take you to new dark heights as you travel across Fjordur on your ARK server.
 

FJORDHAWK

Flying high in the sky, the Fjordhawk is a bird ready to take action! A caring creature, the Fjordhawk is able to forge close bonds with ARK players. When tamed, this playful companion can assist with fetching targets that you indicate while playing. When well trained, a Fjordhawk will be your ultimate prey hunter being able to locate prey and communicate its findings with you.
 

FENRIR

A wolf that is ready to join the fight in Fjordur, information is still upcoming regarding Fenrir but it is expected to be very ferocious compared to a Direwolf. You will be able to obtain Fenrir from a Cryopod after beating a boss fight with Fenrisúlfr.
 

MJOLNIR – A FUNCTIONAL WEAPON SKIN

Experience the power of Mjolnir! Dropping into ARK Fjordur, Mjolnir will be a functional weapon skin that you will be able to attach to a TEK sword. EXPERIENCE THE ARK FJORDUR DLC TOGETHER

ADDING ARK DLC TO YOUR ARK:SE SERVER

1. Enter your ARK server control panel and to the left, click “General” under “SETTINGS”.
   

2. In your General ARK settings under “Base settings”, find the “Mapname” option and click the dropdown for this.
   

3. Select the Fjordur map. Afterward, press “Save changes” and then restart your ARK server.
4. Upon startup, your server will now be running the ARK Fjordur DLC!

ARK FJORDUR DLC NOT WORKING?

When playing the official ARK Fjordur DLC on Steam, Studio Wildcard has informed players that if you have the Fjordur community modded map installed you will need to uninstall/unsubscribe from that map mod prior to playing the DLC. In a few simple steps, you can remove this map mod to play Fjordur without issues and we will show you how!

1. Access Steam and go to the ARK Steam workshop.
   

2. In the ARK workshop, under your name and profile picture, hover over “Your Files” and click “Subscribed Items”.
   

3. Locate the Fjordur map mod and press the “Unsubscribe” button to remove that mod.
   

4. Ensure that you have the free Fjordur DLC installed for ARK and you will now be able to play on your server on the new ARK map!
