    How To Add Mods to Valheim

    Client side

    1. First, you will need to install BepInExPack, as most mods rely on it to function. Thunderstore now recommends installing it with a mod manager such as Gale, r2modman, or the Thunderstore Mod Manager. If you prefer the manual method, you can download BepInExPack here, ensuring you select “Manual Download.”

    2. Open your Steam Library, search for Valheim, right-click on it, and go to Manage > Browse local files.

    3. Copy and paste the files from the “BepInExPack_Valheim” folder into your local “Valheim” folder.

    4. Proceed to add your mods. You can download mod files from Nexus Mods, then drop the mod files (.dll) into the “plugins” folder located inside the BepInEx folder.

    Note: Ensure that every player has the same mods installed in their local Valheim files for multiplayer with mods to work properly.
