ARK: Survival Evolved - Official Release Date and DLCs

It's a bit hard to believe that we are only just now getting the official release date for ARK, despite how full the game feels. E3 brought us a release date and more information about future DLCs!

ARK: Survival Evolved has been in Early Access for over two years now. The last release date was canceled as development continued, but that has finally changed. The ARK announcement at E3 gave us a release date for PS4, Xbox One, and Steam: August 8th, 2017.

The development of the main game will be finished by that time, but that doesn't mean content will halt. Studio Wildcard is already sitting on two DLCs which will be similar in the amount of content Scorched Earth brought. Endgame is the focus of the rest of development for ARK. We've gotten word of a fourth boss to go along with the Tek Cave.

Also announced was the implementation of Ragnarok to the game officially. It is no longer a mod and joins the Center as a mod map turned official. Surely the mod developer is happy as he now has a job due to it!

Naturally, we will still be providing servers for ARK after the official release. This lets you play whenever you want according to your rules. Full control of the server and the associated settings and mods is in your hands.

Are you excited for the release of ARK to finally be just around the corner? What are your thoughts on the new DLCs and the Ragnarok map? Let us know in the comments below!

How long are we looking for the Ragnarok map to be released on the server map list?

I rent a Nitrado server to run a PS4 10 Slot ARK for Primitive+. How do I switch it over to Ragnarok? It won't show up in the selectable maps, do I have to disable "Primitive+"?
