ARK: Survival Evolved - Equus have arrived on the ARK

Is it a horse? Is it a zebra? No! It's an Equus!

The newest species for ARK has arrived. This mixture of horse and zebra looks a bit strange but brings with it some innovative features. The Equus Magnus are peaceful herbivores who graze in herds and are some of the most loyal animals you will find on the ARK.

Anyone who thinks of small ponies will be disappointed at first impression. As is typical with the other species from the era, the Equus are considerably larger than their descendants today. Another feature of the animal is the large beard, reminiscent of goats and dwarfs.

The Equus is a robust animal that can function as a mobile crafting station via different saddles, making these excellent travel companions. These different saddles can be tailored to carry extra weight or to be mobile crafting tables. The Equus exhibit strong loyalty traits, both in the wild and once tamed.

Now the options for a mobile base are not limited to the air and sea, however, it does remain to be seen if the Equus needs to stop moving for the mobile crafting or not. Either way, a nomadic tribe is now a much more feasible option for the ARK!

Here's a look at the dossier:
