ARK: Survival Evolved - Experimental Servers without Dinosaur Taming

Can ARK: Survival Evolved still be fun without tamed dinosaurs? Find out for yourself on Wildcard's new Experimental Official Servers!

ARK: Survival Evolved sets itself apart from other survival games with tameable and rideable dinosaurs, but what happens if you disable this feature? Does it strengthen the PvP and survival aspects, or does ARK fall apart? This is exactly the questions the developers are looking to find answers for.

To find out, Wildcard is setting up a new cluster of servers with the most recent patch and offers the following:

  • 120 players per server
  • No taming
  • Double harvest rates and XP
  • No Titanosaurs
  • No Auto Turrets
  • Difficulty at 2.0
  • 10 survivor maximum in Tribes
  • Isolated cluster

If you are interested in exploring the ARK without the help of tames and seek a more fulfilling PvP experience, now you can. To find these servers, just search in the file browser for "NoTamingExperiment". Please consider this: this is only an experiment, so it may be the case that the servers reset or disappear. The plan, according to Jat, is to have these servers running permanently.

What do you think of this? Can ARK manage to remain successful even without using the dinosaurs? Let us know in the comments below!
