A New Starting Vessel

The Steropes update is here! A new starter ship makes its way to the game. Quite smaller than its big brother, but just as efficient. Here is a word from Zero Gravity regarding the new ship:
Steropes replaces Arges as the new starter vessel. It is much smaller compared to its big brother weighing only 468t compared to Arges’ 1698t. As such it only has an Airlock, an Air Filter, RCS, warp drive and a single Solar Panel for power generation. In order to replenish spent RCS fuel or the atmosphere you lost (in case of accidental venting or a breach) you will have to dock with your base.
The exciting new ship makes its way into the game with this update.  Although the new ship seems to have some drawbacks, there are features that compensate for this:
  • The new ship is about 2.5 times more maneuverable.
  • Improved warp drive that is much faster and less fuel intensive allowing Steropes to travel further
  • Comes equipped with a dedicated capacitor bank
  • Can tow modules just as good as Arges.

With a hefty amount of information coming through with this update, it is a lot to take in. Below, you can find details on the NavMap improvements, Piloting interface, Warp Drive Changes, Server improvements, Pre-made station improvements, General Improvements and Bug Fixes. It is a good idea to stay up to date so you know what is going on in the world of Hellion. If you wish to have more details on the ship and the intentions behind it, check out the earlier post for the "Steropes Preview".
