Metal Gear Survive- Mixed Reviews

15 Minutes of Gameplay Has Just Been Released

On September 17th at the Tokyo Game Show, Konami released 15 minutes of never before seen footage of the Metal Gear Survive gameplay demo. The demo reveals new weapons, equipment, defense tactics, and other new gameplay elements. We learn that you can use the Fulton Cannon more strategically, there is no Recovery Chopper, and items suspended with the Cannon can be transported back to the base through a wormhole.

Metal Gear Survive was announced in August at Gamescom and is projected to be released in 2017. It will be available for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.  It is a spinoff of Metal Gear Solid V and takes place after Ground Zeroes.

Since the video has been released, it has racked up about half a million views, many comments, likes and dislikes. The feedback has been very interesting as many more viewers are claiming that they “dislike” the video, rather than like it. Currently there is a 17:1 ratio for dislikes over likes on the video. This is not a good statistic for Konami, and might leave them worrisome for the game’s 2017 release.

See the link below for the 15 minute demo and tell us what you think. We are very curious to hear your opinion as to why you hate or love the gameplay!
