Netcode Improvements and much more come to Citadel: Forged With Fire

Citadel: Forged With Fire - Netcode Improvements, Daily Quests and More

Greetings fellow Wizards! Here we are with another update to Citadel: Forged With Fire. Today's update focuses on the improvements to the server quality, improvements to the structure visuals, new content and much more!

Structure Visual Improvements

Out with the old and in with the new! The developers have implemented a better way of visualizing what’s powered-up and where it’s powered from. This should make significant improvements to the overall presentation as well. With this update, Mana Generators will display a blue sphere of influence. Anything within its sphere can be powered by that Mana Generator. Check it out:

Improvements to the Net Driver

Community Manager Dennis has shed some light on the improvements with Citadel's Net Driver. Before today's update, the game would evaluate every replicated actor on a loop for every player on the server. The improvements have been made to now take a box query around each player and only considers those specific actors for replication. Here is a word from CM-Dennis on the improvements to the Netcode:

The netcode improvements continue! We’ve made a pretty significant upgrade to Citadel’s NetDriver, which should have a dramatic impact on pings on servers with higher populations. To put it simply, we’ve made optimizations to the way the client and server replicate the various items and objects in the world.

TLDR: You should experience much less of a rise in pings as more players join a server and interact with the world!

Quests, and More Quests!

You may know about the daily quest givers added at the three starter towns already. If you haven't checked them out yet, you may definitely want to now! To offer an additional injection of quest variety, these quest givers will now offer over 100 new quests!

A list of the changes to expect with this update:
