Rust - Compound Added, you can now do business in peace

Greetings fellow survivors! We all know Rust, angry naked people running amuck just trying to make their way out of the stone age. Conducting shady business, or gathering resources with the constant fear of sudden death. Diving into the brutal world can be a difficult place to survive, especially just starting out. However, that's about to change.

With this update, you will see the addition of the new scientists protected compounds! These compounds will provide a safe zone for players to handle deals and interruptions in a safe area. Within the safe area you will have protection from others as well as the ability to purchase some basic items:

  • Basic Clothing
  • Traps & Weapons
  • Resource Exchange
  • Tools
  • Components
  • Building Supplies

In order to enjoy the benefits of the safe zone, you have to play nice! If you break the rules, you will be marked as hostile and the scientists and their turrets will use lethal force against you. The Hostile marking will persist through deather to prevent any griefing actions. Here are the rules for the Safe Zone:

  • No Weapons
  • No Looting
  • No Killing
  • No Sleeping

Scuba Gear has also been added this update. Run around and explore crates on the island to collect a full set. The diving goggles will help you to see underwater.
