Rust! - Devblog 182 - New player models, loot changes, BBQs and more!

Rust - Devblog 182 brings us new player models, loot changes, and a BBQ!

The Rust update from the 20th of October 2017 brings us a lot of new changes. Player models, Loot changes, a BBQ grill, a first look at the garage door block and more!

Shadowfrax tells all about the update in his update video here:

Player models received an update. The developers introduced a greater number of face variations than previously had. This means you will have to re-roll your race. You will stay exactly the same, you will just have a new face! The body areas got some work on shaders and some small geometry changes. The player preview screen got an upgrade with a lighting change as well. The shadows and lighting should appear better in the presentation.

Furthermore, the developers noticed something wrong with the way the system was distributing loot, so they made changes here as well. Implementing a new loot table system that they will be trying out. Separating loots into different categories to ensure a more natural experience and not an RNG "I just got ripped off" feeling. The addition of the BBQ, for now, just allows you cook more than a normal Fire. However, there are plans to include features to make food cook faster and to have a cold spot so you don't burn the food.

Unfortunately not ready yet to hit this patch, you soon will have access to a new wall frame type block! A garage door:
