Samsung - Ultra-Wide Monitors

Who needs two monitors when you can have one ultra-wide Samsung monitor?

Holy cow! This thing is plenty large to take the place of two monitors! Samsung has recently announced that they are working on dual HD (DFHD) screens. These boast a whopping 3840x1080 resolution, effectively acting as two 27-inch 1080p displays -- minus the bezels in the center. This monitor curves to help shorten head movements when looking at the display. This new monitor should support G-Sync or Freesync (depending on manufacturer specs), a refresh rate of 144Hz and VA Technology.

In addition to this monitor, Samsung has mentioned a similar product with a resolution of 3840x1200 that they call 29:9. This monitor should come in both 60Hz and 144Hz variants.

Production of these new screens should start in September 2017 with sales expected in early 2018. There has been no mention of the price points.
