Titanfall 2 won't have a Season Pass

"Once you've purchased Titanfall 2, your investment includes a full single-player campaign, the full multiplayer maps and modes, and long-term support with no hidden costs," Respawn said.

This shouldn't be particularly large news for those following the game closely, but it seems Respawn Entertainment has learned a thing or two from their first game title. Respawn has made the choice to release all post-launch content free of charge, so as not to split up the audience. This is now, however, the first time we've seen this happen with a big-title game-- Halo 5: Guardians has been receiving free content for over a year now, for the same reason as Respawn.

Halo 5 has been bringing revenue in via some in-game microtransactions. Whether or not Titanfall 2 will follow suit with this type of business model is yet to be determined. In September, art director Joel Emslie told PlayStation Lifestyle, "It's not decided on yet."

Titanfall 2 was released today for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
