YouTube TV - Google is Launching its own Streaming Service

Google is launching its own streaming service called YouTube TV -- but only in the US.

Google is swooping in to compete with your cable provider! Unlike the typical YouTube experience, YouTube TV will be a paid service, but it will be relatively risk-free compared to what you get with a cable provider. The service will deliver live local TV channels like ABC, CBS, Fox, and NBC as well as cable stalwarts like ESPN, the Disney Channel, Fox News and Bravo.

The cost for the service will be $35 per month, but YouTube hasn't yet released a date for when the service will be available, but only that it will appear "in the next few months." The risk-free part comes in the form of being able to cancel your service at any time and you're only out the $35.

In the coming months, Google will be releasing the service to the most important regions of the USA, with expansions to the uncovered areas as time progresses. Whether or not the service will be available outside of the United States is unknown.

What do you think of this? Does it sound like a successful idea, or will it follow the way of Google+?
