Dune: Awakening – Changing Your World

When you order a Dune: Awakening server, we generate a server name for you and automatically assign you to a World with sufficient capacity. This ensures that you get up and running quickly and can dive in right away. However, some users would love to have servers in the same World as their friends, or want to change their World at a later date. This is possible with our World Manager feature.
 
⚠️ Moving your server to a different World does not automatically transfer your characters, vehicles, and bases. Please refer to our Character Transfer Guide for details.

How to Change Your World

Not all Worlds are always available for this process. To ensure stability for everyone, we do not exceed specific hard capacity limits for a single World. Also, worlds may be temporarily closed because they are under active investigation for potential issues, or because they are reserved for specific purposes.
 
When you’re ready, follow these steps:

1. In your Nitrado Web Interface, navigate to Tools > World Manager.
   
   This lists all available Worlds and their current capacity.
2. From the menu, you can switch to a World by selecting it.
   
3. There are two move methods available: Direct Move and Migration.
   • Direct Move is always available and is ideal when you just ordered your server and want to start your journey on a different World than what you’ve been assigned to.
   • Migration is only available if your server is at least 3 days old, but it grants you an overlap period during which you will have a server on the old and the new world simultaneously. This is very useful for migrating characters.
   • In the default case, the overlap period is 3 days.
   • If your current world is sunsetting, meaning it is scheduled to be closed, the overlap period is extended to 14 days.

   

4. After you have selected your move method, restart your server. The assignment may take a few minutes, and you may have to refresh the page to see the updated assignment.
   
5. If you have selected the “Migration” move method, you will now also see the server on your old World as a “temporary server”, including its remaining time.
