How to Tame The Burrowbuck

Finding a wild Burrowbuck requires patience, so don’t think you can instantly spot one naturally. These heavily feathered, horned hares avoid direct confrontation. The moment they sense danger, they kick up a thick, blinding cloud of dirt to obscure your vision before instantly burrowing away. To tame one, skip the tranquilizers – this is a strict passive tame. Use stealth to approach, monitor its movements, and feed it crops or berries. Expect to get left in the dust a few times before earning its trust.

Subterranean Abilities & Tactical Utility

Once tamed, the Burrowbuck introduces entirely new underground engineering mechanics to your server:

• Temporary Bunkers: Digs out hidden underground warrens where your tribe and loot can drop off the grid. Beware: these structures require regular upkeep or they will cave in.
• Tunnel Highways: Establishes interconnected gateway tunnels for fast-travel across the map. Only small-to-medium creatures can fit inside this organic highway.
• Decoy Pitfalls: Constructs false tunnel entrances that collapse on uninvited players or wild predators, trapping them underground for easy counter-attacks.
• Blinding Dust Clouds: Deploys a localized dirt cloud on command, blinding pursuers and allowing for quick escapes during scouting missions.
