There is no compatibility between ARK: Survival Evolved and ARK: Survival Ascended, meaning saved games cannot be supported. This means you must start from scratch in a new world full of possibilities!
Yes, you will be able to use mods on your server through our Curseforge mod integration. You’ll have the ability to access and install an expansive library of mods in seconds. This includes the support and installation of mods for crossplay servers. From there, you can dive into your modded gameplay experience with friends on your private Nitrado ARK: SA server! Please keep in mind that these mods are created by a passionate community. After a game update, some may need time to become compatible again. Our Webinterface gives you the freedom to add or remove mods at any time, helping you maintain a stable and enjoyable server.
Nitrado ARK: Survival Ascended servers are supported on PC(Steam), Xbox Series S|X, PlayStation 5, and Windows (Microsoft Store).
Nitrado’s commercial exclusivity for community servers will not prevent monetization of your self-hosted or even rented servers. You will be able to monetize through donations, “VIP” roles, reserved slots, items, and anything else according to ARK: Survival Ascended’s Terms and Conditions & End User License Agreement.
Yes! You’re provided with all the tools required to set up custom maps on your ARK: Survival Ascended server. Our web-interface has a feature where you can automatically install them. No. Only Astraeos and Lost Colony require a minimum of 26 slots to provide enough headroom for those demands plus the usual server overhead, mods, and full player counts. Every other map is supported from 20 slots. Also, this restriction only applies to services bought after 22 June 2026, 2PM CEST.
For services purchased after 22 June 2026, 2PM CEST, the following restriction applies: When you select one of the high-consumption maps (Astraeos (DLC) or Lost Colony) on a server with fewer than the required slot count, the server won't start until you either pick a different map or upgrade slots. Services initially purchased before that time still support all maps.
