Melodies of the Mire – Introduction
Enshrouded released their second biggest update, Melodies of the Mire! In this massive patch, players can explore a brand new region full of mysteries, along with fighting new enemies, completing quests, and much more. There are even changes to server management and player-based progression. Grab friends and explore all the new features introduced with the Enshrouded Melodies of the Mire Update! Let’s review some of the highlights to get you started.
Blackmire
In the Revelwood region, players up north can find Blackmire – a brand new area to explore. Everything is bigger in this realm, including the enemies! Climb towards the tree tops or discover ancient ruins hidden away. New quests, items, enemies, skill points, and challenges await you in Blackmire. If you’re level 13-15, then this place is perfect for you. Anyone else that is lower should avoid this region, as dangers lurk around each corner. Having a team together will increase your chances of survival.
Valory of the Silverstrings
An NPC named Valory of the Silverstrings is located somewhere in Blackmire, awaiting to be rescued. Save her and unlock crafting recipes for musical instruments. These include lutes, drums, harps, and flutes! Play music while sitting by campfires to increase your buff duration, while also replenishing it when exploring. Otherwise, break the silence with tunes if you’re taking a break from slaying creatures.
Dual Wielded Daggers
In the Enshrouded Melodies of the Mire Update, many class changes were implemented to balance combat. One of these is a brand new weapon for dexterity builds, dual wielded daggers. These are powerful against most enemies, allowing you to slash with high speed. Harness that inner assassin within yourself and master the arts of dual wielding! You must be close and personal with foes to use these daggers effectively.
Quest Improvements
By far the most anticipated feature for Enshrouded is here, player-based quest progression. This basically means that you’re able to individually complete all Embervale quests instead of missing out when others finish them. Whether you’re playing multiplayer or hosting your own Enshrouded server, this comes in handy. Never miss out on the story again! Finish all your missed quests to mark them as completed, with some needing to be replayed.
Enshrouded Server Roles
As for managing your dedicated server, Enshrouded now allows you to assign roles to players. These include Helper, Friend, and Admin – all of which have their own unique abilities. For example, friends can access chests / factories and edit terrain / props in bases. Depending on how these powers are used, it can be an extremely big help!
