Minecraft Mob Vote Winner 2023 for Minecraft 1.21

Minecraft Mob Vote Winner 2023 for Minecraft 1.21

Minecraft Mob Vote Winner 2023 – Introduction

As per usual with every year in Minecraft, a unique event happens for all players to enjoy. This is known as the Minecraft Mob Vote, which has three candidates that could be added to the game. The winner gets decided by the highest number of votes, with the losers being disqualified. This is a great opportunity for you to voice your opinion about what mob to add in Minecraft! Which one won in 2023? What about the other mobs that lost? Why is the community not happy with Mojang? We’ll be answering these questions and more in this Nitrado article – Let’s begin!

Minecraft Mob Vote winners and losers for Minecraft Live 2023

Armadillos in Minecraft!

Minecraft Armadillo voted into Minecraft 1.21

All across the world, millions of people voted for their favorite mob. During this time, suspense-filled the air since no one knew which creature would win. Finally, a winner was announced. Introducing the armadillo! This small animal is found throughout deserts and savanna biomes, making them commonly found in your Minecraft world. If you scare them, they’ll roll up into a ball and quickly traverse the landscape. If you manage to catch and slay armadillos, special scutes will drop that can be used for crafting wolf armor. This means you can build an army of dogs to help you fend off hostile mobs. Otherwise, you can use it for some stylish fashion shows on a dedicated server with friends. This mob may sound awesome, but there are plenty of players unhappy with the decision.

Mob Vote 2023 Losers

Two other mobs were dismissed by Mojang after the event, which are crabs and penguins. The first one offered players the ability to craft a unique item that allows for further block placement. This is a builder’s dream, as it can be tricky to build rooftops or ceilings without the proper gear. As for penguins, they allowed you to travel faster in boats across oceans or rivers. That’s about it, making them the less popular candidate among the bunch. Regardless of what mob you voted for in 2023, it’s never promised that they’ll make it into Minecraft. This sparked outrage when the first event happened, but nothing like what we’re seeing with this one.

Community Feedback

Minecraft’s community has voiced their concerns over the mob vote for years now, especially with this one in particular. There’s a petition going around with 500,000 signatures to end all mob voting in the game. The main reason is that thousands of players strongly dislike Mojang’s inability to add all of them. It’s incredibly doable and easy for them to introduce a wide variety of mobs to the game, but they don’t. This adds fuel to the fire, which is amplified by the fact that missed-out candidates never see the light of day. While Minecraft Live 2023 was going, countless #STOPTHEMOBVOTE comments were made.

Almost everyone on X (formally Twitter) posted memes and reaction images to Minecraft’s official announcement of the Minecraft mob vote winner. A common theme with these is the desire to have all of them added to the game, with some users even making full-fledged campaigns about it. Despite the outcry, Mojang chose to not listen and continue following their rules.

Future of Mob Vote Mobs

What’s the fate of all the missed-out mobs from past votes? According to kingbdogz, a Mojang gameplay developer, each unused creature will remain in their idea library with the possibility of being added later on. When and if this happens is entirely unclear, especially since they’ve mentioned that it might never occur. This motivated modders to create their own mods to counteract this unfortunate situation, leading to almost all the mob votes mobs being implemented into Minecraft. As of right now, this is the only viable option to play with each of them in-game.

However, this isn’t always true. Mojang has added previously missed out mobs before, specifically from 2019’s biome vote event. Frogs were introduced later, despite goats winning. Remember, these mobs were associated with certain biomes in Minecraft. This proves that not all hope is lost, but most of it since this was the only instance. With this in mind, the community still feels enraged by Mojang’s inability to satisfy their players.

Minecraft Mob Vote 2023 – Conclusion

Whether you voted for crabs, penguins, or armadillos, only one could have won the Minecraft mob vote in 2023. The latter of these candidates happened to win, granting players the chance to make wolf armor. Hooray – or is it? The entire internet is against these events since the community wants all mobs to be added. Mojang doesn’t listen and continues following protocol, leading to even more outrage. Fortunately, you can choose to install mods that can introduce missed-out mobs to Minecraft. Other than that, you’ll have to wait for game developers to do something about this situation.
