Become Admin In SCUM

Someone on your SCUM server needs the authority to check squads, spawn gear for testing, or shut things down when the island goes quiet for the night. In this Nitrado guide, we’ll show you how to become admin in SCUM, covering both the file that unlocks chat commands and the one that opens the in-game Server Settings panel.

Find Your Steam64 ID

Every admin grant starts with a Steam64 ID, the 17-digit number that starts with 7656 and identifies your Steam account. Look yours up at SteamID.io.

Grant Chat Command Access with AdminUsers.ini

Stop your server first: SCUM only picks up changes to its files while it isn’t running. In your Nitrado Web Interface, open Settings > Config Files and select AdminUsers.ini from the file dropdown.

Add your Steam64 ID on its own line. On its own, an ID grants the standard set of # chat commands. Add extra permissions with a bracket tag directly after the ID, with no space before it:

• 76561198012345678[SetGodMode]: unlocks the #SetGodMode command.
• 76561198012345678[ShutdownServer]: unlocks the #ShutdownServer command.
• 76561198012345678[SetGodMode, ShutdownServer]: unlocks both at once.

Use Save changes, then restart the server to apply it.

Open the In-Game Panel with ServerSettingsAdminUsers.ini

A second file controls a separate permission: access to the in-game Server Settings panel. With the server still stopped, select ServerSettingsAdminUsers.ini from the same Settings > Config Files dropdown.

Add your Steam64 ID on its own line, exactly as it is. This file only accepts bare IDs, no bracket tags allowed, since a tag stops the file from reading the ID at all. Save your changes and restart the server.
