    How to Become a Sons Of The Forest Admin – Introduction

    On your Sons Of The Forest server, you are sent to search across a deadly mutant-covered island for a missing billionaire. However, you quickly realize that you are in what feels like a horror movie. During your search, you’ll encounter cannibals on the island, who will make your life hell and want to get at you. With such dangers, survival can be a challenge even with friends by your side. As this can become frustrating, one way to combat this is to take advantage of Sons Of The Forest admin access on your server!

     

    As an admin of a server, you have access to many different server settings as well as admin commands. This includes everything from enabling god mode to summoning additional AI to help you, summoning items, buffing player stats, and more. In this detailed guide, you’ll learn how to become an admin on your Sons Of The Forest server to access admin commands!

    Becoming a Sons Of The Forest Admin – The Web Interface

    To become a Sons Of The Forest admin on your server, do the following:

    1. Head to your Sons of The Forest server webinterface.
    2. On the left side under “Settings“, click “Config Files” to edit your settings.

    3. In the config files, use the dropdown to select “ownerswhitelist.txt“.

    4. Then, click “Load file” to load and edit that txt file.
    5. In this file. insert the Steam ID of your Steam account below the already existing text.

      1. To find the Steam ID, open Steam and click on your profile name so that you see your profile. You will see a link at the top directly under “Shop”, “Library” and “Community”, which appears as: https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/xxxxxxxxxx/
      2. Instead of the “xxxx“, you will find a series of numbers. This is your Steam ID. Copy it and paste it into your ownerswhitelist.txt file.
    6. You can now repeat this for every admin on your server. Note that only one Steam ID is allowed per line.
    7. Finally, press “Save changes” and restart your Sons Of The Forest server.

    You and the others you’ve set will now be a Sons Of The Forest admin!

    Using Admin Commands on Your Sons Of The Forest Server

    Now that you are a Sons Of The Forest admin, you will have access to many powerful admin commands. If you want to see all the available commands in the game, open the chat and type “cheatstick“. After you confirm this, press the F1-key to open a large menu. Inside this menu, you can access many different SOTF admin cheats. At the top of the screen, you will see a text field, which you can use to search for specific commands. To make it easier for you, here is a list of some of the Sons Of The Forest commands that will help you on your adventure!:

    godmode on / godmode off God mode on / off
    invisible on / invisible off Makes you invisible for enemies
    addcharacter robby Adds another Kelvin to the game
    addcharacter virginia Adds another Virginia to the game
    speedyrun on / speedyrun off Makes you run faster / Prohibits fast running
    superjump on / superjump off Enables superjump / Disables superjump
    additem X Adds a specific item to the game. Change “X” to the item you want
    aigodmode on / aigodmode off Enables / disables the god mode for companions
    aighostplayer on / aighostplayer off Enables / disables companions to become invisible to enemies
    aipause on / aipause off Pauses all AI / Resumes all AI
    buffstats Noticeably increases survival stats
    cavelight on / cavelight off Activates / deactivates a bright light source that illuminates the entire cave
    showhud on / showhud off Show / remove HUD
    freecamera on / freecamera off Enable / disable freeroam with free camera function
    forcerainheavy Make it rain in the game
    forcerainsunny Changes the weather to sunny
    killradius x Replace “X” with the number you want and kill whatever you want
    locktimeofday morning The game will continue in the morning
    locktimeofday night The game will stay at night
    rainhealth Heals you completely
    removeallitems Removes most of the added items
    save Saves your game
    clearbushradius 1000 Removes all bushes in the area
    treescutall Cut down all trees in your radius (be careful, this can crash/freeze the game)
    seasonautumn Changes the season to autumn
    seasonspring Changes the season to spring

    seasonwinter Change the season to winter
    settimeofday [1-24] Change the time of day
    setimeofday morning Changes the game to morning
