    Connect to Your Project Zomboid Server

    Before you can play with friends, you must add your Project Zomboid server as a favorite in the game itself. This process is simple and straightforward, but newcomers might be unfamiliar with it. Due to this, we’ve created this quick Nitrado guide to show you how to find your server IP address, port, and use that to connect to your server 👏

    Server IP & Port Location

    Head towards your Nitrado Web Interface and go to the Dashboard, the main area for managing your server. At the top left, you will see the IP and Game Port for your Project Zomboid server. Copy this for later, as you will need it to connect.

    How to Join Your Project Zomboid Server

    1. Open Project Zomboid and click Multiplayer from the main menu.

    2. Click the Favorites tab, then click Add Server.
    3. Proceed to fill in the fields, Server Name, IP/Domain, Port, & Password (if applicable).

    4. Click Save at the bottom and your server will appear in the Favorites list.
    5. Click Add New Account under your server, enter a Username & Password, then click Save. Leave Authentication Type set to Password.
    6. Your account appears under the server. Click Connect on that row to join.

    Head Out Into Knox Country

    You now have your server’s IP address and port, and a Favorites entry in Project Zomboid that uses both. Remember that the username and password on that account belong to this server alone, so they stay separate from your Steam login. If the connection still fails once the IP address, port and password all check out, Nitrado’s support team can check the server from their side. Send the same IP address and port to your friends, and start surviving Knox Country together.
