From magical powers to elemental forces, and RPG elements like crafting, legendary weapons, daunting landscapes to explore, and more. While Dark and Light is a wondrous journey, at times the game leaves the desire to fine-tune settings and adjust options to change the gameplay. With a Dark and Light server and the custom setting editor included with it, you can quickly edit settings to do just that!
While owning a Dark and Light server, as a server owner you will have numerous options to edit that can completely change the way the game works. You can start with simple options like the server name and move to more advanced settings including a server password, hardcore mode, enabling RCON, and more. In this guide, we will show you how to edit your server settings and the many different options you’ll have access to on your Dark and Light dedicated server!
With a Nitrado Dark and Light game server, you have the additional option to edit your server using the “Expert Mode” feature. When active, this option will remove all settings that are normally in the GameUserSettings.ini or Game.ini files. Afterward, your server will shut down and start back up.
Then, a new option will display on the left side of your server webinterface under “Settings” named “Expert Settings”. From there, you can utilize this new area to adjust the specific settings within your GameUserSettings.ini and Game.ini files respectively. It’s important to know that your server will need to be turned off before you can edit your Dark and Light expert settings files.
