How do I buy this game?

You can purchase it from Factorio’s Purchase page, Steam, GOG.com, or Humble Store.

If I buy the game on your Purchase page, will I be able to get a Steam key?

Yes, that’s possible. After purchasing the game, you can link it to your Steam account on your Factorio profile page and have your Steam key emailed to you. Linking to the Steam account is an anti-fraud mechanism. Please note that this free Steam key is only available for purchases made directly on our website; any purchases from third-party retailers are not eligible for a Steam key.

I bought the game via Steam; can I get a Factorio login as well?

Yes, it is possible. In the game, you will have the option to register an account on our website. You can also create a free account at factorio.com and then head to your Factorio profile page where you will find instructions on how to link it to your Steam account. We strongly recommend creating the account with the same username you have on Steam.

What is the multiplayer status?

The game features a robust multiplayer system, allowing up to 500 players in a single game. We are continually working to improve the multiplayer experience, and we currently support a matchmaking server that allows players to publish their servers and list other running games.
