General check

• Server online : Please check if the server is actually online while trying to connect to it
• Internet connection : Check if your internet connection is still stable. If there are no problems, please create a tracert and send the log to Nitrado support.
• One or more players affected? : If only one player is affected by the difficulty, it is usually not due to the server. If several players lose connection to the server at the same time, it is necessary to find out what the cause is. Most of the time, a difficulty in the game or the connection is the cause. But it can also be an update of the game or a general difficulty with the host system. This can also be clarified by means of Tracert or a look into the web interface of the server.

Connection lost (game)

• High Ping : Some games have the option to automatically kick players with a slow connection from the server, please check your internet connection. If there are no problems, please create a tracert and send the log to Nitrado support.
• Manual kick : You have been kicked from the server by a moderator or admin, please contact the person responsible for the server for this.

Account status

• VAC BAN : You can check if your account has been banned from Steam (VAC) on the following page: http://www.vacbanned.com/engine/check

Tracert

Tracert is a computer program that can be used to determine which IP routers are used to route data packets to the destination host. A tracert can be used to determine whether there are problems with the Ip routers that are connected between you and the target host.

Before starting a tracert, all programs that access the Internet should be closed first to avoid falsifying the results.

Creating a tracert with WINMTR

To create a tracert we first download the program “WinMTR” . You can download it here WinMTR .

Now start the program “WinMTR” and enter in the field “Host” the Ip from which the route should be followed to the destination host.

To start click on “Start” . Now “WinMTR” should look like this:

Now let WINMTR run for about 5 minutes (Please make sure that nothing else like messenger, file sharing programs ect. are running, which can falsify the result) .

If “no response from host” is displayed and the column is continuously filled with “0” , this is because the IP router wants to remain anonymous on the Internet.

After the 5 minutes click Stop and then the “Export TEXT” button to export the result to a text file .

You now add this text file as an attachment to a written request via ticket https://nitra.do/support
