In your Palworld server, you and your friends will immerse yourselves in a universe filled with adorable and astonishing creatures called Pals. Breeding within the Palworld realm is the key to obtaining superior Pals, which will become tireless work partners within the base or loyal companions with perfect combat skills. One way or another, Pals are essential for thriving in this vibrant virtual world.
Throughout this Basic Breeding Guide, we will explain step by step everything you need to know to start breeding your Pals efficiently. Additionally, we’ll provide you with some Pal combinations to help you acquire those best suited to your needs.
To commence your Pal breeding adventure, you’ll need to level up your character to 19, at which point you can unlock the Breeding Farm. Additionally, you’ll require a special food, which is a cake, and finally, you’ll need multiple incubators to hatch the eggs generated by your Pals. Below, we’ll detail how to obtain each of these crucial materials.
Starting with the basic structure, the place where the magic happens, the Breeding farm. Apart from reaching level 19 and spending 2 technology points to unlock it, the materials required are easy to find.
Now you just need to place two pals inside it by picking up the pal (A menu will be displayed when you are close to him, indicating which button you can use to lift your pal) and dropping it into the breeding farm. These should be a male and a female, either of the same type or different.
You will need to have a cake inside the chest located outside the breeding Farm so that they can start the breeding period. After some time has passed, about 25 minutes you will find an egg in the center of the breeding pen. If you have multiple cakes inside the chest, they will continue breeding until there are no more cakes available.
You’ll find an egg, the result of your hard work. You can take this egg and place it directly in an incubator. Remember to keep a source of heat or cold (depending on the egg type) near the incubator to accelerate the incubation time
This delicious dessert is what puts our pals in a good mood to give us an egg. You can obtain the ingredients by buying them from most traders with red coats, with the nearest reference point being the Small Village. Alternatively, you can kill and/or capture specific pals and put them to work in your ranches. Additionally, you can harvest some ingredients (berries and wheat) in the “plantation” within your base.
Once we have the necessary ingredients, we will need a ‘cooking pot,’ which unlocks at level 17 by spending 2 technology points. In this pot, we place the ingredients to start cooking our cake, which will take quite some time to be ready, around 30 minutes if you cook it alone. Therefore, we recommend having a Pal with at least level 2 or higher ‘kindling’ working ability, such as Bushi, Arsox, Pyrin, among others, to reduce the time.”
Finally, you’ll need Incubators, several of them, as the incubation time may be high, however this can vary depending on the settings of your server. In game you can get three egg sizes: normal, large, and giant, with the giant egg taking the longest time to hatch.
To obtain the incubators, you’ll need to complete the first Syndicate Tower or defeat one of the ‘Boss Pals’ marked on the map to obtain Ancient Tech Points and Ancient Tech Parts. Once we unlock the incubator in our technology section, we will gather all the necessary crafting materials, which are:
Now that we have our incubator, it’s time to start incubating our eggs. After placing the egg in the incubator, it will display a message indicating whether the egg is cold or hot. This depends on the type of egg and will either slow down or speed up the incubation time. If it needs warmth, place a heater or campfire nearby; if it needs coolness, place a cooler next to it.
Once your egg has hatched, you will have a Pal that has ‘inherited’ skill traits in the form of ‘passive skills’ from both the father and mother. This inheritance is entirely random, so obtaining your perfect Pal may take several attempts.”
