How to Set Up txAdmin for Your RedM Server

How to Set Up txAdmin for Your RedM Server

One of the first steps when creating your own RedM server is setting up txAdmin. This essential management tool ensures your server runs properly and provides an easy way to configure, monitor, and maintain your server. While the setup process involves several steps, it’s straightforward to follow. Whether you’re building an immersive Wild West roleplay experience, a frontier survival server, or a casual world to enjoy custom scripts and resources with friends, txAdmin is an invaluable tool for server administration. In this Nitrado guide, we’ll walk you through everything you need to set up txAdmin on your RedM server.

    What is txAdmin?

txAdmin is an integrated web-based control panel for managing RedM servers. It lets you:

    • Start/stop your server
    • Kick or ban players
    • Install & manage resources
    • Monitor logs and performance
    • Set up scheduled restarts
    • And much more

Setting Up txAdmin for Your RedM Server

    1. Head towards your Nitrado Webinterface, then copy the txAdmin login credentials.
    2. Webinterface - Copy Your txAdmin Login Credentials
    3. At the top right corner, click the Open txAdmin button.
    4. Open Your txAdmin Panel
    5. Afterwards, paste the username and password accordingly – then login.
    6. Login with Your txAdmin Login Credentials
    7. Follow the prompts: Server Name, Deployment Type, Template, & Data Location.
    8. Set Server Name, Deployment Type, Template, and Data Location
    9. When you’re finished, click the Recipe Deployer button to continue on the last prompt.
    10. On the next page, edit the Name and Description to anything you want.
    11. Edit Name and Description
    12. Continue to click Run Recipe on the next prompt after verifying the server license key.
    13. Verify License Key & Run Recipe
    14. When it’s finished, select Next and edit the server.cfg if you want.
    15. Click Save & Run Server at the bottom. Your server will load and boom – you’re done.

In regards to the Deployment Type, we encourage you to select “Popular Recipes” as recommended by txAdmin. Additionally, we also suggest you choose the “CFX Default” option for the template. If you know what you’re selecting, then you can disregard our suggestions.

    Completing Your RedM Server Setup

With txAdmin successfully configured, your RedM server is ready for the next stage of setup. From here, you can begin adding resources, configuring your server.cfg, setting permissions, and fine-tuning your server to match your vision. As your community grows, txAdmin will make it easier to manage updates, monitor server health, and keep everything running smoothly.

    Common Issues

    Cannot join the RedM server

In case you’re unable to join the server, double-check that you’ve configured the license key. This is important, as your server will not work properly without it. Otherwise, there could be an issue with the amount of player slots. The maximum amount for RedM is 48, so ensure the slots are under that number. You can do that by editing the server.cfg file in your Nitrado Webinterface and the CFG Editor on txAdmin. If everything is correct, then you might be encountering a connection refused error.

    Connection refused error in console

This is caused by a missing string in the main config file, which will be added automatically after a server restart. Otherwise, you can manually add it at the bottom of your CFG Editor. This issue prevents anyone from joining the server until it’s resolved. The code to paste is, set sv_listingIpOverride “Your Server IP Address”, which needs to use the correct IP address of your server. An example would be: set sv_listingIpOverride “5.83.173.248”

Unable to login with Cfx.re account

During the first time setting up your txAdmin panel, you will not be able to login with any Cfx.re account. You would have to manually create a new admin account afterwards. You can visit our guide to quickly get that added! Say goodbye to the default login credentials, hello easy access.
