How to Upload a Local Soulmask Save to Your Nitrado Server

How to Upload a Local Soulmask Save to Your Nitrado Server

Building your Soulmask settlement takes hours of scavenging, crafting, and diplomacy, and that progress doesn’t have to stay stuck on your home PC.

Moving your local save onto your Nitrado server lets you keep playing the same world with friends. The server stays online even when your own computer is off. In this Nitrado guide, we’ll show you how to find your local save files and upload them to your server through the Nitrado Web Interface.

    Find Your Local Save Files

Before you can upload anything, locate the save files stored on your own PC. Press the Windows key and R together to open the Run dialog. Type %localappdata% and press Enter to reach your local application data folder.

From there, follow this chain of folders: WS, then the one named after your Steam ID, then a numbered folder inside it, then AutoGames, and finally the folder named after your game’s invite code. This is where Soulmask keeps your active local save.

Inside that invite-code folder, you’ll find world.db alongside one JSON file named GameXishu.json. Copy both files, since your server needs each one to restore your progress correctly. On the server they live in two different folders, and the next section walks you through both uploads.

    Stop Your Soulmask Server

Before you upload anything, stop your Soulmask server from the Dashboard in your Web Interface. Click Stop server, the red button in the banner across the top of the screen.

We recommend stopping your server before you upload or replace any save file, then restarting it once the upload finishes.

Upload the Save in the File Browser

Open Tools, then File Browser, in your Web Interface. This tool gives you direct access to your server’s files, so you can upload your save straight to the server.

Navigate to this path: soulmask, then WS, Saved, Worlds, Dedicated, and Level01_Main. The breadcrumb path at the top of the File Browser confirms you’re in the right folder before you upload anything.

This folder holds world.db, currently 32.00 KiB, the file that stores your server’s current world. Before you replace it, download a copy using the download icon on that row. That way, you have a backup of your server’s current progress if anything goes wrong during the upload.

Click Upload file, then select your local world.db. Uploading a file with the same name as one already in this folder replaces it, so the upload fully overwrites your server’s existing world.db.

Your gameplay settings file goes to a separate folder. Use the breadcrumb path to step back to Saved, then open GameplaySettings. Click Upload file again and select your local GameXishu.json. The server reads your gameplay settings from this folder, so your world and its rules transfer as a pair.

    Restart and Check

Once your upload finishes, return to the Dashboard and click Restart server to bring your Soulmask server back online with the save you just uploaded. Join your server the same way you always do, and confirm your base, your tribe, and your progress are all where you left them. If anything looks off, check both destinations. The world.db file belongs in soulmask, then WS, Saved, Worlds, Dedicated, and Level01_Main. The GameXishu.json file belongs in soulmask, then WS, Saved, and GameplaySettings.

Your Soulmask progress now lives on your Nitrado server instead of just your own PC. You and your tribe can keep building from wherever you left off. If you want more room to grow that settlement, take a look at Nitrado’s Soulmask server hosting, and keep playing on your own schedule.
