    Important Notice: Progress and Character Loss in Palworld

    Dear Palworld Players,

     

    Losing progress in any game can be frustrating. While Palworld has become significantly more stable since its early access release, unexpected issues such as crashes, power outages, or hardware failures can still result in lost progress if a recent save is unavailable.

     

    As fellow gamers, we get how frustrating this is. To help protect your world and minimize the impact of potential save issues, we recommend the following best practices.

    Recommendations to Help with Palworld Progress Loss

    1) Using our automated tasks tool to schedule automated restarts at intervals of 3 hours, which can help with memory leak crashes. Please check out our automated tasks guide here.

     

    2) If you lose significant progress, here are some useful configuration settings that may help you get back to your current state quicker. You can find them in your servers web interface in the Config Files:

    • Setting: Exp Rate set to 100
      • Description: Determines the rate at which players gain experience points
    • Setting: Death Penalty set to “Lose nothing“
      • Description: Determines the penalty for player death
    • Setting: Pal Capture Rate set to 100
      • Description: Affects the likelihood of successfully capturing Pals
    • Setting: Player Auto HP Regenerate set to 10
      • Description: Rate at which the player’s health automatically regenerates
    • Setting: Collection Drop Rate set to 10
      • Description: Multiplier for the rate at which gatherable items drop
