Does Rust Have Crossplay?

The answer is YES. However, not for all platforms. Rust crossplay is available for Xbox and PlayStation, but it is not available for PC and consoles. So, if you are playing on PS4 or PS5, there’s no problem playing with friends with Xbox One or Xbox Series X. In the case of PC players, they can only play with other players using the same platform, and there are no plans in sight from Facepunch Studios to include PC into their Rust crossplay system.

Also, the console and PC versions of the game although are the same at core, have different content and optimization. Monthly improvements and updates are made for the PC version while the console one doesn’t have them.
