Joining Your Palworld Server on Xbox & PlayStation

Whether you’re playing on Palworld on Xbox or PlayStation, the process to join is the same! However, you need to ensure crossplay is enabled. This is set to true by default, but it’s always best to check as it’s required for you to join. In this Nitrado guide, we’ll walk you through the process to connect to your Palworld server on Xbox and PlayStation so you can get started with a new adventure 👏

Palworld Crossplay Setup

1. Head towards your Nitrado Web Interface for the Palworld server.
2. Make sure the server is fully stopped.
3. Navigate to Settings > General on the left.
   
4. Make sure the platforms you want are selected.
   
5. Save changes if you made any, then start up the server.

 
⚠️ We strongly recommend changing the Servername option. You will need to use this when you connect on your console.

How to Join on Xbox / PlayStation

For both platforms, the steps are identical. Follow them when you’re ready:

1. Launch Palworld on your console.
2. Select Join Multiplayer Game from the main menu.
3. Navigate to the Community Servers tab on the left.
4. Click the Search Bar at the top.
5. Enter the exact name for your server.
6. Select it from the results, then click Connect.
7. If prompted, enter your Server Password to continue.

Common Issues

During this process, you might encounter some common issues.

Connection Failed / Version Mismatch

If Palworld just dropped a patch, your server and console might be out of sync. Restart your server to trigger an automatic update to the latest version. Make sure your console has downloaded the newest game update as well, then try logging back in.

Server Not Appearing in Search

If your server isn’t appearing, try refreshing the Community Servers tab a few times. Double-check your spelling to ensure it’s exact. If it still won’t show up, give both the server and your game a quick reboot to clear the pipes, then search again.

Missing IP Address Connect Bar

Unfortunately, console platforms do not support direct IP Address:Port connections due to security reasons. With this in mind, you must use your Palworld server name to connect via the Community Servers tab.

“No Password” Error Prompt

If the game throws an error instead of asking for your password, you can trick the system into behaving. Click on any random password locked server, type in some dummy text, and let the connection fail. Once that’s done, head back to your own server and it should now properly prompt you for your password.
