    Life is Feudal World Settings – Introduction

    In the darkness of Life is Feudal server hosting, you and your friends are thrown into a medieval sandbox world with only your skills to survive. You may find that you could use a helping hand with more players or that the difficulty is too much and you’d like to change the settings. With a server, you can edit your Life is Feudal world settings to do just that!

     

    World options in Life is Feudal adds the ability to customize, protect, and manage your server with ease. From setting a custom world name to more easily be found on a server list to a server password to prevent unwanted players. All of those 🌎 options and much more are available on your Life is Feudal game server when you follow the steps below!

    Editing Your Server World Settings

    1. Head to your Life is Feudal server and press the “Stop” option.
    2. Next, to the left under “Settings”, click “Config Files”.

    3. In the edit file area, you should automatically be editing your main world file. You can use the dropdown to select other world files if you’ve created multiple.

    4. From there, you can now view and edit the file freely. Here is an example of a default Life is Fedual world_X.xml file:

    Setting Description
    <ID>1</ID> An ID that is automatically assigned to your Life is Feudal server upon creation. This ID cannot be changed or it will break your server.
    <name>My LiF server</name> Sets the custom name of the servers. When searching for a server, players can discover your server based on this name.
    <password>Password</password> Determines if your server will require a password. You can remove the “Password” to disable this option.
    <adminPassword>Password</adminPassword> If set, players can use this password in conjunction with Life is Feudal commands to gain admin access to your server.
    <mode>Sandbox</mode> Modifies the gamemode of your server. This option currently does not work.
    <isPrivate>0</isPrivate> Adjusts if your server is private. If set to 1, your server will no longer be listed in server browsers.
    <isActive>1</isActive> An option that ensures your server is active and working. Modifying this option will break your server.
    <skillsStatsMult>10</skillsStatsMult> Changes the progression multiplier for player stats. This can be adjusted between 0.1 and 100.
    <skillcap>600</skillcap> Sets the skill cap for player skills. You can modify this option between 200 and 3000.
    <terraformingSpeed>4</terraformingSpeed> Increases and decreases the terraforming speed during tunneling only. Can be changed between 0.1 and 5. 
    <craftingPeriod>60</craftingPeriod> Modifies the crafting tick, in seconds. Adjust this between 1 and 3600.
    <animalBFPeriod>60</animalBFPeriod> Determines the minutes between a breeding check. Ranges between 1 and 600.
    <dayCycle>2</dayCycle> Edits the real life hours per in-game day, affecting the speed of crop and tree growth. This can be modified between 0.5 and 24.
    <animalCount>20</animalCount> Sets the maximum number of animals on a server. We recommend 50 – 100. Any larger and you can begin to experience server lag.
    <maxPlayers>64</maxPlayers> Changes the maximum amount of players allowed on your server. This is determined by your Life is Feudal server plan.
    <port>28000</port> The port of your server is set here. We recommend that you do not change this setting to avoid issues with your server connection.
