    RCON for Rust Experimental/Release

    RCON for Rust Experimental/Release

Managing a Rust server can be a challenging task, especially when it comes to maintaining order, enforcing rules, and staying connected with your player base. Whether you’re running a community server or hosting a private world for friends, having the right tools can make server administration far more efficient and stress-free. Rustadmin is one of the most popular RCON (Remote Console) tools available, offering a user-friendly interface and powerful features that allow server owners to monitor activity, issue commands, and manage their servers in real time. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to set up and use Rustadmin to take full control of your Nitrado Rust server with ease.

    What is RCON?

RCON stands for Remote Console. It is a protocol that allows you to send commands and receive logs from your Rust server over the internet, giving you remote administrative access without ever launching the game or the Nitrado web interface.

The most popular third-party application for this is Rustadmin, which gives you a powerful, easy-to-use graphical interface to manage your server.

    Core Features of Rustadmin

Rustadmin is a complete server management tool that provides:

    • Real-time Console: Execute server commands instantly.
    •

    • Player Management: Kick, ban, or mute players, and view their Steam IDs and connection times.
    •

    • Log/Chat Monitoring: View log files, track live in-game chat, and send server-wide messages.
    •

    • Mod/Plugin Status: Monitor the status of your uMod (Oxide) plugins.

    Connect RCON for Rust

To connect Rustadmin to your Nitrado server, you only need three pieces of information, which you must gather from your Nitrado web interface:

    • Server IP Address
RCON for Rust - Server IP Address
    •

    • RCON Port
RCON for Rust - RCON Port
    •

    • RCON Password (which you set yourself in your server’s settings)

With that information at hand, you only need to follow these simplified steps to quickly connect the free Rustadmin desktop client to your Nitrado server.

    1. Download and launch the Rustadmin tool.
    2.

    3. Open the Configuration tab and enter the server IP, server port, RCON port, and RCON password in the Server section.
Note: Make sure the RCON type is set to WebRcon.
